People often
ask me how I come up with my ideas and if a particular scene actually
happened. My paintings are loosely based on fact, but have to do
more with my desire to explore certain themes about human nature.
This painting investigates Elvis' vulnerability. I imagine that as
he got older and fatter and more famous he would try and cling to
things which made him feel secure, like some favorite pajamas his
mama gave him.
